About the presenters

Aqeel Ahmed

Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy, TRT

Aqeel is Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy at TRT, leading the brand strategy for tabii, their global streaming platform.

Having launched Disney+ in multiple international markets and shaping strategies for brands like Fox and National Geographic, Aqeel knows a thing or two about what clicks with audiences (Or what audiences click). He claims he can spot a compelling story or opportunity from miles away (even with his caffeine quota unmet). Building consumer subscription businesses in global markets is his bread and butter.

Roberto Verona

Creative Director, Saffron

Roberto Verona is a Creative Director at Saffron, where he oversees the quality of design outputs across various projects.

Before joining Saffron in 2011, Roberto worked at Icon Medialab, Addison and John Ryan Company. His experience spans branding projects for clients such as Proximus, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Volotea, Sodexo and Generali. Born in Italy, he studied at ISIA Urbino and speaks Italian, Spanish and English.

Efekan Dundar

Senior Brand Strategist, Saffron

Efekan Dundar is a Senior Brand Strategist at Saffron with experience leading strategic projects for clients like Meta, VRT, tabii (TRT), MCH Group and Art Basel.

Before joining Saffron in 2021, he worked on award-winning campaigns for Diageo and Greene King in the FMCG sector. Efekan’s work focuses on building future-proof brands that blend commercial ambition, creative potential and cultural impact.

Anton Sherar

Creative Lead, Sonic Minds

Anton Sherar is an award-winning Creative Lead & Audio Branding Specialist at Sonic Minds. He has led impactful projects for brands like ASUS, tabii, ConocoPhillips, ATG, Orca Security, and many more. His expertise lies in creating unique audio identities that amplify brand recognition and foster emotional connections.

Hind Makki

Branding & Marketing, TRT (Moderator)

Hind Makki is a brand strategist at TRT’s digital streaming platform, tabii.

An interfaith educator with a degree from Brown University, she founded Side Entrance, an award-winning website documenting Muslim women’s prayer experiences. She has advised projects on mosque inclusion and was named one of CNN’s 25 Influential American Muslims for her work in diversity and representation.
